The IT Recruiter/Account Manager is responsible for building new and maintaining current relationships with businesses throughout the Chicago-land area to identify and fill job openings within the IT industry. This technical recruitment and business development position provides an instrumental role in assisting individuals with IT backgrounds get back into the workforce, and works closely with a dynamic team of high energy, like-minded individuals to meet and exceed goals.  This is a full desk position. Essential Skills and Responsibilities:
  • Has the perception and ability to cold call businesses, communicate opportunities, qualification, technology and negotiate opportunities
  • Identify, screen, evaluate and present qualified candidates for the available positions
  • Maintains current and develops new relationships with businesses for IT and related job placement opportunities (accounts), gaining a full understanding of business objectives , employer skill-set needs, and position responsibilities/duties
  • Acts as a liaison between employers and MicroTrain within the IT industry
  • Consults with employers on job profiles and potential candidates, ensuring that candidates are considered and compared against job requirements and desired qualifications, acting as a resource throughout the process
  • Collaborates with MicroTrain co-workers, as well as the larger workforce system throughout metropolitan Chicago to provide potential candidates to employers
  • Keeps abreast of market trends pertaining to new technologies, hiring trends within the industry, certifications, and overall best practices within IT
  • Obtains and analyzes information about the IT arena, including hiring trends , training, and program feedback
 
Qualifications:  Knowledge of Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA and other related technical certifications and technologies is required. 2+ years IT recruiting and outside sales/account management experience preferred.  Must be able to generate own leads from approved sources. 
 
Travel: A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and ability to travel throughout Chicago and surrounding metropolitan area
 
Computer Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint may be required.  Typing test and writing samples may be required at time of application
 
Language/Presentation Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such job descriptions and technical requirements.  Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and utilize social media to promote job openings and candidates.  Ability to speak in front of groups and present information in a clear and concise manner.
